Welcome to CENA.  The Claremont-Elmwood Neighborhood Association was created to make our neighborhoods a safe and desirable place to live. We are located in the southeast part of Berkeley, California wrapping the southernmost boundary of the University of California and including The Claremont Hotel.

Please browse the menu bar on the top of this page to learn more about CENA's history, board, how to join and current events.

Also, if you are interested in learning more about Shopping, Our Neighborhood and City resources check out those pages too!  We do our best to keep information updated as things change - but there are ALWAYS new things happening in our neighborhood!

Thanks for your interest in CENA, and feel free to contact us or offer suggestions by emailing us at info@claremontelmwood.org star Elmwood2.jpgStar_grocery.jpg

CENA files for UC Chancellor' Community Partner Fund Grant

On March 12, 2018 CENA submitted it's application to the Chancellor's Community Partnership Fund to renovate the gates and iron fence at the intersection of Claremont Blvd and Russell street. CENA has asked our community to pledge funds for the project and has received $26,760 as of this writing. The goal is to raise $30,000.

If CENA is successful in obtaining grant funds from UCB it will move forward with the work as far as the money available will allow.

If you have not pledged and wish to do so, please send your pledge amount to:

    Dean Metzger at drm1a2@sbcglobal.net
